But here\u2019s a summary of what\u2019s happened since July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After completing all the chores to &#8216;put Moxie to bed&#8217; for a while, we headed back to Colorado until early September. It was a much-needed break \u2013 The Med is too hot and too crowded in the summer but it\u2019s a fantastic time to be in Colorado!  In mid-September, we returned to Moxie and sailed to La Grande-Motte, France, where Outremer is based, for some small repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">September in France was delightful, with warm days and cool nights. While waiting for our repairs to be finished, we took a few days to visit the beautiful town of Avingon, France and toured the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Palais_des_Papes\">Palace des Papes<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Avignon-France-1.webp?resize=750%2C563&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1654\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Avignon-France-1-scaled.webp?resize=1024%2C768&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Avignon-France-1-scaled.webp?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Avignon-France-1-scaled.webp?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Avignon-France-1-scaled.webp?resize=1536%2C1152&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Avignon-France-1-scaled.webp?w=2250&amp;ssl=1 2250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/En-route-France-to-Cartegena.mov\"><\/video><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We had planned to leave France in late September and head to Majorca to meet up with Lance and Shari on <em>Queso Grande,<\/em> but my father\u2019s health was deteriorating so we had to skip that and get back to Cartegena as soon as possible.\u00a0 As always, moving from one port to another on a sailboat is \u2018weather dependent\u2019 and it took us longer than we would have liked.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"360\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 640 \/ 360;\" width=\"640\" controls src=\"https:\/\/moxieenmer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Gulf-of-Lions.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Although the rain passed, the winds were still very strong in a few days later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We made it back safely and headed \u2018stateside\u2019 to deal with my dad\u2019s health issues.&nbsp; While at home, we enjoyed all the comforts of being on land including seeing our children, watching lots of sports, and catching up with friends.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All too soon it was March 2025 and time to head back to Moxie to work our way around to the west of Spain to position ourselves for a summer in Northern Europe.&nbsp; While almost everyone heads to the Mediterranean during the summer, we didn&#8217;t want to follow the crowd. We were eager to leave the crowded Med for a more interesting area.
